The Virginia Opossum commonly known as the North American Opossum, is the only marsupial found in North America north of the Rio Grande.  A solitary and nocturnal animal about the size of a domestic cat, at 50 it has more teeth than any other mammal.  The Opossum is famous for its reaction to threat from predators...it plays dead!
