An Evening of Popular Classics sponsored by Valero in aid of the Friends of South Pembs Hospital and Rotary Charities.
Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra returns with a programme of much loved classics, opening with Rossini's sparkling overture to his opera, The Thieving Magpie.
The programme also includes Dvorak's sunniest work, his Symphony No.8, and the night is completed with the most famous and popular work written by a British composer, Sir Edward Elgar's Enigma Variations, the centrepiece of which is a deeply moving Nimrod.
