DOUBLE CELEBRATION FOR FOLLY FARM AT THE NATIONAL TOURISM AWARDS FOR WALES

22 October 2010, Folly Farm, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire: Folly Farm are today celebrating picking up two awards at last night's National Tourism Awards for Wales at the Vale Resort in Glamorgan. The attraction near Tenby in Pembrokeshire won both awards it was shortlisted for and now can officially claim the title of Best Family Day Out in Wales. Praised for being excellent value for money the judges also awarded Folly Farm the Digital Marketing work for its newly launched website and its engagement with visitors through the digital medium including social media platforms Facebook and Twitter. Pembrokeshire as a county were big winners on the night with five awards heading West including Clydey Cottages in Boncath, The Grove in Narberth and Pembrokeshire Tourism as part of the West Wales Tourism partnership.
Chris Ebsworth, Managing Director of Folly Farm, was delighted in winning the Best Family Day Out accolade; "We've always ploughed the profits we have made back into the business. If you stay still people lose interest. But having a good team around you is even more important. Our frontline staff are at the heart of it all - without them nothing would be possible.
"A huge thank you goes to all the team for their hard work and a massive congratulations to the other Pembrokeshire winners who help make our county such a popular tourist destination."
Zoe Wright, PR and Marketing Manager, who collected the Digital Marketing award, enthused; "We're delighted to have brought both awards back for the team and I'm especially happy to have received recognition for our digital marketing work.
