Spooky Halloween at Folly Farm

WHAT'S COOKING IN FOLLY FARM'S CAULDRON?

- The Folly Farm cauldron is overflowing with lots of spooky ingredients for family fun this Halloween with freaky face painting, creepy pet handling and Jugglestruck's UV Wonder Show

19 October 2011, Folly Farm, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire:  If you go into Folly Interactive this Halloween, you'd better not go alone!  Snakes, giant land snails and the fabulous Eurasian Eagle Owl are just some of the creatures you can meet in the Creepy Pet Handling sessions in Folly Farm's sensory education centre this half term.  Then once you've had your fill of fear you can scare your family with some freaky face painting or run wild in the Spooky Woods (usually known as Carousel Woods!).  Folly Farm's Zoo Keepers will also be keeping their animals amused with some Halloween Enrichment Activities.  Last year the Meerkats really enjoyed trying to get mealworms out of a pumpkin.

Tim Morphew, Folly Farm's Zoo Manager, added; "Since the completion of Folly Interactive last year visitors to Folly Farm have got used to meeting some pretty creepy creatures but this Halloween we're bringing out our Eurasian Eagle and Barn Owls as well as our Royal Python snakes!  Wing of owl and tongue of snake, a recipe for fun will make!"

Folly Farm's Spooky Halloween event runs from 22nd - 30 October 2011.  Opening times from 10am until 5pm.  Jugglestruck's UV Wonder Show is at 1pm daily.
