04 October 2010, Folly Farm, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire: Folly Farm staff provided much needed pedal power as Tesco Extra at Haverfordwest took on the challenge to cycle the equivalent distance to that of going from Haverforwest to the Severn Bridge via Tesco stores across South Wales...an amazing 190 miles!  Tesco Extra staff were well supported from Pembrokeshire companies and organisations including the Fire Brigade and Dyfed Powys Police who between them actually cycled a whopping 291 miles...well in excess of the target.

Victoria Smathers, Education and Marketing Manager at Folly Farm, enthused (somewhat breathlessly!) about the team approach to the challenge; "The camaraderie and support between everyone who took part in the challenge was fantastic and really helped spur us on.  Customers at the Tesco store certainly enjoyed watching us battle on and gave generously for this worthwhile charity.

"Thanks must go to Community Champion Mandy Edwards at the Tesco store in Haverfordwest for asking us to be involved in this well organised and hugely fun fundraising event."
