COMING SOON The magnificent 4/14 Wurlitzer from the Gaumont Manchester, known as the "Tudor Rose" which has been in store 23 out of the last 32 years will be installed at Folly Farm this Winter into purpose built chambers and will play again to the public in late Spring 2009. Visitors to Folly Farm yesterday benefitted from an unscheduled programme of events as resident Alpaca, Tia, gave birth in front of a delighted crowd. Zoo staff had been unsure if the Alpaca was pregnant due to the bulk of her fleece and only discovered the imminent arrival of the baby a week previously when the Alpacas had their biennial shearing. Folly Farm today announced the arrival of triplet black and white ruffed lemurs and its the second time resident lemur Kirindy has given birth to triplets. Folly Farm’s zoo is home to five adult black and white ruffed lemurs and this is its second successful breeding of the species.
