Grounds person

We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Person to join our award-winning team.

Covering 120 acres of fun, the role will operate across both the adventure and holiday park sites. Reporting to the Operations Management team, you will be required to carry out a varied range of grounds/gardening duties including grounds maintenance and repairs to ensure our site is always looking its best, exceeding guests’ expectations creating an environment for our guests to enjoy.

Daily duties include:

• Ensuring all external areas such as car parks, paths and roadways are kept clean, tidy and well maintained
• Providing an efficient strimming and grass cutting service across all areas of the site, ensuring the highest level of presentation is upheld
• Weeding, planting and maintaining flower beds
• Supporting with general park duties and presentation including litter picking, window cleaning, picnic bench repair, hot tub testing and ride operation
• Ensuring all grounds equipment is maintained in good working order
• Awareness of H&S to keep yourself, our guests and colleagues safe whilst working

Who we’re looking for…

Are you a hands–on, practical person? Do you enjoy working outdoors? We’re looking for a self-motivated person with excellent attention to detail. The ability to follow strict health and safety protocols is essential. A full, clean, driving licence is essential, with experience operating ride-on mowers advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar environment, grounds/commercial gardening/landscaping, with good time management, organisational and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise your workload under your own initiative. A PA1/PA6 spraying qualification would be an advantage.
