An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the keeper team.

We’re looking for a reliable, practical person full of energy to join the zoo team. Based on the Folly Interactive and bird sections the ideal candidate will have experience of public speaking or presenting to deliver daily public talks, educational activities and feeding experiences for our guests to treasure. Training will also be given across all sections. Working to strict safety protocols and standard operating procedures you’ll ensure the highest of standards are maintained. Key responsibilities will also include all aspects of animal care, including daily cleaning and feeding regimes, upkeep of animal records and enclosure fitting and theming.

The successful candidate will need a pro-active approach to team work, and should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, with a positive, can-do attitude. A full driving licence is essential, with qualifications to degree level in zoology or a related subject also desirable.

Applicants must be flexible in their working hours and willing to work weekends and Bank Holidays.
