Bored? Not here! In farming, there’s never a dull moment.
A new calf. An escapee cow. So much to deal with, we never got bored. Passers-by were interested in the farm too – so in 1988, we opened our doors and made it our mission to create great days out.
So, Folly Farm keeps growing. Now, it’s much, much more than a farm. We have animals from around the world in our zoo, adventure play and a vintage fairground too. Why not?

We’re still very much a family business, so nurture and care are important in all we do. We’re Wales’ biggest independent visitor attraction, and proud to have won a number of awards.
But Folly Farm is still our home. We’ve made so many happy memories here, and we love it. We hope you will too.

We’re often asked who owns Folly Farm and we’re proud to say we’re still a family run business. Founded by Glyn Williams and his wife Anne in 1987, Folly Farm was a working dairy farm run for three generations by Glyn’s family. Folly Farm’s the original name of the dairy farm and whilst it may not describe everything the attraction now has to offer, we’re rather fond of it, it’s part of our story.
In the 1980s, with the introduction of milk quotas, dairy farming was a tough business and whilst walking his cows across the road to milk them in the dairy parlour, Glyn had his lightbulb moment. A popular tourist route to Tenby and Saundersfoot, the A478 was often busy with visitors heading to the beaches from further afield and Glyn was often chatting to day trippers as the traffic stopped to let the cows cross. Along with his wife Anne, then a headteacher at a local primary school, they saw the opportunity for an educational attraction where visitors could come and see the cows being milked and learn about farming. Folly Farm the attraction was born and has developed from there! You can now even stay with us at our holiday park next door!
Glyn sadly passed away in February 2020, enormously proud and humble about everything he’d achieved over the last three decades. Anne, his daughter Karina and her husband Chris continue to run the business with the rest of the Folly Family and Glyn’s grandchildren Jamie, Bill and Lily.
