Planting trees for wildlife conservation

We’re on the look out for some green-fingered volunteers to help us with a day of tree planting!

We’ve always been committed to conservation and already have our own plantation of willow trees to provide a food and enrichment source for a number of our animals.

But we want to do more for our native wildlife so we’ve planned a day of tree planting on Thursday 06 April. We’ll be planting a variety of native saplings to encourage wildlife and would love for some help from any green-fingered volunteers!

Join Jack, our conservation officer, on our volunteer tree planting day!

Interested in lending a hand and doing your bit for native wildlife conservation? Looking for something for your teenagers to do this Easter in the fresh air? Simply book your space now! But be quick – there’s just ten spaces available.

We’ll meet at the admission tills at 10am and we’ll finish at 3pm. Volunteers must be aged 12 or over (children under 14 will need to be accompanied by an adult). We’ll supply spades, gloves and other equipment – but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Please wear sensible clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather!

We’ll supply refreshments, but please bring your own lunch and snacks.

Sorry – no dogs are allowed.

A big thank you to The Conservation Volunteers for supplying the tree saplings.
