The air is getting crisp, the leaves are starting to fall – and everything is beginning to smell like pumpkin spice. It can only mean one thing…Autumn is here and Halloween is most certainly on it’s way!
FaBOOlous Halloween fun in store this October
We have plenty of treats (no tricks) in store, starting from Saturday 4 October! Meep will be wearing his spookiest Halloween costume during October to celebrate. If you wear yours during your visit to us over the Half Term week, then we’ll be sure to give you a sweet treat at the admissions tills upon entry.

There’ll be lots of freaky theming throughout the park including photo op areas, pumpkin barn animals, haunted farm hay bales and our side stalls receiving a spooky makeover – and tasty treats from our catering team such as pumpkin spiced lattes, freaky fudge and toasted marshmallow hot chocolates. There may even be a Halloween special ice cream to look out for during half term…
Our scary scarecrow prize trail is also back for October. Just pick up your prize trail form from admissions when you arrive at the park and have fun spotting the themed scarecrows as you make your way around the park.

There’ll be daily zoo talks on ‘Venoms Vs Poisons’ taking place daily during October Half Term at 12pm. Find out how our more unusual creatures such as gila monsters and poison dart frogs can actually be helpful at our Venoms Vs Poisons zoo exhibit too see some of them for yourself! As well as this there’ll be some Creepy Encounters over half term in the barn.

Our *VR ride in the fair is also switching it up for October with a ‘Haunted Hallows Escape’ themed adventure. And of course our classic *Ghost Train in the fair is always bringing the frightful fun!

Half term treats from 25 October – 2 November only:
A treat from the admissions team for any young witch or wizard who arrives at the park in fancy dress. So dust off those brooms or get your ghost outfit on!
Card hunts will be hidden across the site daily – if you find one you can pick up a treat!
Creepy creature time in our barn. It’s not just the ‘spooky sheep’ or ‘frightful ferrets’ at our meet and greet sessions this week. You may be (un)lucky enough to meet a more creepy creature or two. Just look out for the daily timetable at the barn entrance for more details and timings.
‘Venoms Vs Poisons‘ themed zoo talks taking place throughout October Half Term week at 12pm. Talks will be held in the Venoms VS Poisons exhibit on the zoo.
Look out for a Halloween special sweet treat with a poo themed ice cream treat (if you dare) and even more activities and games with our Entertainments team!
Join our Entertainments team who’ll be getting into the spirit. There’ll also be Halloween themed glitter tattoos* available just outside the theatre in the Vintage Fairground from 1.30 – 3pm
Not forgetting Meep the Sheep, our lovable costume character who’ll be making an appearance or two (he’s got his Halloween outfit ready)!
BRAND ‘POO’ FOR 2025! We’re bringing the silliness with a sPOOktacluar new addition to creepy season. We know how hilarious poo can be to children (or those still young at fart, I mean ‘heart’)! But poo can be surprisingly interesting and can tell us so much about our animals. Pick up a POO TRAIL form from admissions on arrival and see what you can learn!
NEW… We’ll also be holding a POO WORKSHOPdaily at our Lion Research Centre at the Pride of Pembrokeshire enclosure from Monday to Friday this Half Term week (27 – 31 October). And you’ve guessed it – we’ll be causing a stink by showcasing and dissecting some real animal poo. YUCK! Our Dung Detectives Poo Workshop runs from 27-31 October 2025. This is an additional event activity you can book to enhance your day at Folly Farm, if you’re not an annual pass holder then you will need to pay for day tickets to Folly Farm in order to access the event. Our Dung Detectives Poo Workshop is aimed at children between 6-10 years old (adult supervision is recommended for smaller children). The group led workshop will investigate all things poo and what poo can tell us on the zoo! The Dung Detectives Poo Workshop costs £4 per child and profits will go to our conservation partners. There are 8 child spaces available on each session and you only need to book for each child taking part in the workshop, the accompanying adults do not need to book a place or pay. *Rides are an additional charge. VR ride is two tokens per person and the Ghost Train is either one token per person – or you can use your ‘ride all day wristband’.
