Grab your little monsters and head on down for some frightful Folly fun!
The air is getting crisp, the leaves are starting to fall – and everything is beginning to smell like pumpkin spice. It can only mean one thing…Autumn is here and Halloween is most certainly on it’s way!
We have plenty of treats (no tricks) in store this October. There’ll be lots of freaky theming throughout the park including photo op areas, haunted hay bales and our side stalls receiving a spooky makeover – and tasty treats from our catering team such as pumpkin spiced lattes and frightful fudge. Our barn animal pumpkin trail (with QR codes for entering) and scary scarecrow prize trails are also back for October. Just pick up your prize trail form from admissions when you arrive at the park and have fun spotting the themed scarecrows as you make your way around the park.
There’ll be zoo talks on ‘Venoms Vs Poisons’ taking place at the Tropical Trails exhibit on weekends only during October at 12pm. Find out how our more unusual creatures such as gila monsters and scorpions, can actually be helpful, before taking a wonder over to our Venoms Vs Posions zoo exhibit too see some of them for yourself! During the Half Term these zoo talks will be running daily.
Our *VR ride in the fair is also switching it up for October with a ‘Haunted Hallows Escape’ themed adventure. And of course our classic Ghost Train in the fair is always bringing the frightful fun!
Half term treats from 26 October – 3 November only:
A treat from the admissions team for any young witch or wizard who arrives at the park in fancy dress. So dust off those brooms or get your ghost outfit on!
Creepy creature time in our barn. It’s not just the ‘spooky sheep’ or ‘frightful ferrets’ at our meet and greet sessions this week. You may be (un)lucky enough to meet a more creepy creature or two. Just look out for the daily timetable at the barn entrance for more details and timings.
‘Venoms Vs Poisons‘ themed zoo talks taking place on weekends only throughout October. Plus they’ll be running daily during the Half Term week too at 12pm. Talks will be held in the Tropical Trails exhibit rather than the Venoms VS Poisons exhibit, in case of poor weather.
Look out for our Entertainments team who’ll be getting into the spirit as Spooky Scarecrows. There’ll also be Halloween themed glitter tattoos* available just outside the theatre in the Vintage Fairground.
Not forgetting Meep the Sheep, our lovable costume character who’ll be making an appearance or two (he’s got his Halloween outfit ready)!
On Wednesday 30 October we’ll be hosting a Hedgehog Day with crafts to help raise money for the Pembrokeshire Hogspitaland educate our guests about the issues our local hedgehogs are facing in the wild. Guests can also join Ginny from the Hogspital to autumn leave hedgehogs and a clay hedgehog (for a £2 donation on the day). Ginny will also be running a Meet a Hedgehog session with an informative talk and demonstration. Meet a Hedgehog should be pre-bookedand there is a £2 donation required for the 30-minute session.
