Spooktacular fun this October!
Grab your little monsters and head on down for some frightful Folly fun!
The air is getting crisp, the leaves are starting to fall – and everything is beginning to smell like pumpkin spice. It can only mean one thing…Autumn is here and Halloween is most certainly on it’s way!
We have plenty of treats (no tricks) in store this October!
There’ll be lots of freaky theming throughout the park during the spookiest month of the year – including photo op areas, pumpkin barn animals, haunted farm hay bales and our side stalls receiving a spooky makeover – and tasty treats from our catering team such as pumpkin spiced lattes, freaky fudge and green candy floss!
But that’s not all…
Pick up a form from admissions and take on our scary scarecrow trail and stop for a family photo among our Halloween-themed displays.
Our *VR ride in the fair is also switching it up for October with a ‘Haunted Hallows Escape’ themed adventure. And of course our classic *Ghost Train in the fair is always bringing the frightful fun! Don’t forget to pop into the Jolly Barn for some creepy encounters with a meet and greet session with some of our furry friends too. The timetable will be available at the barn entrance so you don’t miss your favourite creatures!
October Half Term Week
Daily from 24 October until 1 November only
Our Entertainments team have lots of fun, games and activities in store during the half term week over at our brand new Hayloft Events Barn. Check our ‘What’s On’ board on arrival to find out what they’re up to and join in! Find our special cards hidden around the park too – if you find one you can win a special prize!
There’ll also be *glitter tattoos from 1.30-3pm and daily .
Meep will be wearing his spookiest Halloween costume to celebrate the scariest time of year. If your little witches and wizards also wear their costumes during a visit to us over the Half Term week, then we’ll be sure to give you a sweet treat at the admissions tills upon entry.
At 12pm each day, our zoo team will be sharing fascinating facts about venoms versus poisons at our Venoms Vs Poisons exhibit on the zoo. It’s a chance to discover more about some of the amazing animals at Folly Farm, and the clever ways they use their natural defences.
NEW for this Halloween during half term – Pumpkin carving!
Little monsters can carve their very own *pumpkin with us to take home. Head on over to the Hayloft events barn between 1.30-2pm to join our team. Select your pumpkin and get creative! Adult supervision required for this one – and a small fee applies to pick your pumpkin!
Activities throughout October:
- Photo op areas, haunted hay bales and frightful theming throughout the park
- Scary scarecrow trail available daily. Pick up an activity form from admissions on arrival
- Creepy creature time in our barn. It’s not just the ‘spooky sheep’ or ‘frightful ferrets’ at our meet and greet sessions this week. You may be (un)lucky enough to meet a more creepy creature or two. Just look out for the daily timetable at the barn entrance for more details and timings.
- Take a ride on our Halloween Hallows escape *VR Ride or *Ghost Train rides in the fair for some classic frightful family fun!
- Seasonal treats available from selected food and drink outlets. Think pumpkin spiced lattes, green slime candy floss and more spooky snacks to add to your day.
Half term treats from 24 October – 1 November only:
- A treat from the admissions team for any young witch or wizard who arrives at the park in fancy dress. So dust off those brooms or get your ghost outfit on!
- ‘Venoms Vs Poisons‘ themed zoo talks taking place throughout October Half Term week at 12pm. Talks will be held in the Venoms VS Poisons exhibit on the zoo.
- Activities and games with our Entertainments team each morning in the Hayloft event barn! Check the What’s On board outside the Gift Shop on arrival.
- Halloween themed *glitter tattoos available from 1.30 – 3pm
- Meep the Sheep, our lovable costume character who’ll be making an appearance or two (he’s got his Halloween outfit ready)!
- BRAND NEW FOR 2026! *Pumpkin carving with the Folly team over at the events barn from 1 – 2.30pm. A chance for your little monsters to get creative and bring home their very own pumpkin ahead of the big day!
- Card hunts will be hidden across the site daily – if you find one you can pick up a treat!
*Rides are an additional charge. VR ride is two tokens per person and the Ghost Train is either one token per person – or you can use your ‘ride all day wristband’ for these rides. Height restrictions and Health and Safety information can be found online or on park signage. Glitter tattoos are subject to an additional charge. Pumpkin carving is also an additional charge to cover the cost of bringing home your very own pumpkin decoration.
Please check the daily timetables at the main entrance board near the Gift Shop and at the entrance of the Jolly Barn for the daily schedule. Some activities may be subject to change.
