We’re celebrating World Ranger Day with the launch of our Rhino Ranger Trail.
Rangers are amazing. They work hard to protect our natural world. Each year the International Ranger Federation celebrates the vital work park rangers do on World Ranger Day. This year the event is celebrating its tenth birthday so we’ve pulled out all the stops to launch our Rhino Ranger Trail just in time for the event.

What’s happening on World Ranger Day?
Well we’ve got our fantastic zoo keeper team on hand all day running events and activities to raise awareness of the work of rangers and raise funds for our conservation partners.
From 2pm, Darren Priddle and Murwi are joining us from Extremus Dog Training Ltd. to showcase the amazing work they do, right here in West Wales, training anti-poaching dogs for reserves in Africa. What a treat!

And to top off the excitement visitors will be able to try out our new Rhino Ranger Trail where you can undertake a number of tasks to help track the poachers that have broken into our very own rhino reserve!
