Phase two of pirate adventure play begins

Our castle is ready for a much needed upgrade!

Phase two of our Pirate Adventure play development will begin next week, where our much loved castle play area will be receiving a makeover including some knight theming and a Welsh dragon! This popular play attraction has been at the park for over 20 years and has come to the end of its lifespan, and we’re excited to start work on a new and improved adventure play area for you to explore! Therefore, this area of our park will be CLOSED from Monday 8 September whilst we start the building work.

But don’t fret – the castle will be back and better than ever! With a fresh new look and more play elements and accessible features – our team are excited to bring you a total playground upgrade!

An artists impression of our new and improved fort will offer greater play value!

Phase one was our ‘Pirate Island’ adventure play area that opened last October and has been proving popular with young pirates ever since! With the addition of accessible features including wet pour rubber surfaces, wheelchair accessible ramps, a companion slide and low level interactive play areas – this new upgrade to the pirate play area has offered much greater play value for young explorers. And phase two will be no different!

Cardiganshire based company, Adventure Playgrounds Wales, will be working their magic once again, and have come up with a brilliant design that’s in-keeping with our much loved pirate theme whilst taking advantage of the advancement in playground design and product development. Once again, Red Lynch Leisure will be using Lappset equipment and the best quality Scandinavian hard-wood to ensure the new fort play area will offer years of fun!

Using local suppliers to install a more sustainable play area in line with our goals to offer more accessible elements along with a greater play value is key to ensuring we build a new and improved castle for the enjoyment of our young guests!
