Meet new miniature barn residents
Miniature pigs Rufus and Willbur settle into life in the Jolly Barn
Two adorable male miniature pigs, Rufus and Wilbur, are the newest residents to join the farm family – settling into their new home in the Jolly Barn.
At just over six months old, these adorable additions have already stolen the hearts of all the staff and the farmers who care for them each day. They came to us from another farm park in Buckfastleigh last month – and although they may be small in stature, they’re certainly BIG on personality! They’ll eventually grow to around 14-20 inches tall (about the same size as a medium sized dog), and will weigh between 20-30kg when fully grown!
Don’t worry – we still have our original miniature pig residents ‘Arnie’ and ‘Sylvester’ with us. This dynamic duo have lived in the barn since 2015, enjoying regular meet and greet sessions with our guests over the last decade. But as they slow down into their retirement years – the hope is for Rufus and Wilbur to begin meet and greet sessions themselves (and give Arnie and Sylvester a well-earned rest)!
Our keepers have enjoyed training these cheeky youngsters since arriving with us in August, and rewarding them with their favourite snacks such as chunks of fresh apple!
