Animal Assured Attraction again!
We’ve been recognised for our commitment to health and safety through the National Farm Attractions Network Scheme
Through our membership of the National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) – we are pleased to have retained our certification for the third consecutive year under the Animal Assured Attraction Scheme (AAAS). This provides an additional level of reassurance for visitors that Folly Farm is focussed on safe guest interaction and animal welfare.
We consistently comply with the AAAS code of practice as recognised by the Health and Safety Executive, by preventing or controlling ill health from animal contact at our attraction. So, in short – not only are our animals healthy and safe but so are our guests and staff!
Only a third of farm attractions in the UK are certified under AAAS and we’re fully committed to achieving and maintaining a high standard of biosecurity. Some measures already implemented include new signage in the barn and farm areas to emphasise the health and safety rules such as regular hand washing, not eating or drinking in animal areas and installing additional hand wash stations and hand driers.
