Oh, what a night!

Oh, what a week really. We’ve bagged our second award in seven days!

Hot on the heels of our Day Out With The Kids ‘Best Attraction in the UK for little Kids’ award at the national finals (you can read all about that here) we are now also proud recipients of the Pembrokeshire Tourism ‘Best Visitor Attraction 2019’ award, given to us at a lavish ceremony held at the beautiful Meadow House Holiday Park in Summerhill on Thursday 7th November.

The invited guests ready and waiting for the awards ceremony to begin.

The Pembrokeshire Tourism awards are designed to recognise, reward and inspire…and by doing so “find the very best tourism businesses in Pembrokeshire” and to shine “a spotlight on excellence” in the county.

The ‘Best Visitor Attraction’ category was a strong one and we were honoured to be nominated as finalists alongside some of the very best visitor attractions in the county.

The moment had arrived. We were all called to the stage by Tommo, our host for the evening, and nervously waited for the envelope to be opened. Naturally, we were delighted and humbled when we heard “and the winner is…Folly Farm!” and would just like to say a massive ‘well done’ to all those that were nominated.

As you can see the joy of winning is clearly etched on our faces. We made our way to the official photographer and to be interviewed by Toby Ellis of Pure West Radio. Imagine our surprise when we found our interviews were to be conducted in a Tuk Tuk!

“This award is recognition of the hard work of the whole Folly Farm team. We’re very proud to be part of the fantastic tourism offering in Pembrokeshire. We’re blessed with so many amazing attractions, accommodation providers and wonderful beaches.” – Zoë Wright, head of marketing

As I said…it’s been quite a week!
