We’re the current holders of the Day Out With The Kids Best Animal Attraction in Wales and Best Attraction in Wales for Little Kids. We also scooped the National award for Best Attraction for Little Kids in the UK!

Disabled Access Welsh Venue of the Year
We’ve won the disabled access charity, Euan’s Guide, Welsh Venue of the Year for the second year in a row. Euan’s Guide recognises businesses that make a commitment to making everyone feel welcome regardless of abilities.
Best Day out in Wales
We’ve won the ‘Best Day Out in Wales’ Award three times. It’s a National Tourism Award for Wales, awarded by Visit Wales and we won it in 2005, 2010 and 2015. We were also finalists in 2018 for this award now called Best Visitor Attraction. It’s always humbling to receive recognition from our industry peers.

We also picked up the Best Day Out award at the first ever Welsh Hospitality Awards in 2016.

Visit Wales Gold Awards
We’re the proud holders of a ‘Gold’ accolade from Visit Wales, receiving it every year since 2016 when it was introduced. It’s for attractions that achieve excellence for their facilities and customer service. So you can be confident of a great day out.
We’ve also been awarded ‘Gold’ in the Glamping accommodation category for our Showman’s Wagons.
Visit Wales Five Star Ratings
We hold Quality Assured five star ratings from Visit Wales for our touring park and campsite and our self-catering accommodation Folly View.
Top ten zoo in the World!
In 2017 we were awarded a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best award, based on us consistently receiving ‘excellent’ reviews from our visitors which rated as the 10th Best Zoo in the World, one of only two UK zoos in the top ten and putting us in the top 1% of businesses listed on TripAdvisor worldwide. There’s no higher praise than that which comes from our visitors.

We’re also delighted to have again received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2022, having first received this award in 2011.
Green Key award
We’ve held the Green Key environmental accreditation since 2016. The eco-accreditation promotes sustainable tourism and guides businesses towards best environmental practices.
