Times and activities subject to change
World Penguin Day which took place at Penguin Coast on Friday 25 April was a great success. There was a great turn out and activities such a pebble painting and crafts were proving popular with the little ones! Kids particularly liked the freezer game, where they had to hunt through the freezer to find MSC marked fish products.
Our own Conservation Officer Jack, was even joined by Dudley Zoo’s Conservation Officer, (also named Jack. Spooky)! As he was visiting the area – he popped in to join in the penguin fun. Thanks Jack!
We highlighted two simple things that people can do at home to help play a part in helping penguins:
“A huge thanks to all who joined and interacted with us. We even had Jack, Conservation Officer from Dudley Zoo, join us for the celebrations!
JACK GRADIDGE – CONSERVATION OFFICER
We managed to raise £130 through our raffle for charity partner ‘Sphenisco‘, helping with Humboldt penguin research in Chile.”
