Always wanted to know what life as a zoo vet is like?

Well, now’s your chance…as members of the Folly Farm team guide you through the process of health checking an animal in our Mini Vets workshop. It will provide an exclusive insight into the care and management of our animals and the important work of our conservation partner, Wildlife Vets International.

Who can take part?

It’s aimed at children up to 10 years old with adult supervision recommended for smaller children.

   

When will it take place?

The Mini Vets workshops will run during Whitsun half term from Monday 27th May to Sunday 2nd June. There will be 10 workshops on each day, catering for a maximum of 10 children per session:

10:00 – 10:30
10:30 – 11:00
11:00 – 11:30
11:30 – 12:00
12:00 – 12:30
1:45 – 2:15
2:15 – 2:45
2:45 – 3:15
3:15 – 3:45

   

Will there be an additional charge?

Individual participants will be asked to provide a £2 donation, of which the profit will go to our conservation partners. Guests can book on the day at the lion house, but pre-booking is strongly advised to avoid disappointment as spaces are strictly limited to ten per session.

   

Where will the workshops take place?

Inside the ‘Research Centre’ at the Pride of Pembrokeshire lion enclosure.
